REFERENCE: Gross-Rosen (German: KL Gross-Rosen) - a concentration camp that existed in 1940-1945 in the area of ​ ​ the village of Gross-Rosen in Lower Silesia (now Rogoznitsa, Poland). Gross-Rosen was created in the summer of 1940 in addition to the system of three main camps: Dachau in the south, Buchenwald in central Germany and Sachsenhausen in the north. In May 1941, the camp was transferred to SS-Deutsche Erd- und Steinwerke GmbH (excavation and stone work), a stone processing enterprise was built in the camp by prisoners.
