East Prussia
REFERENCE: East Prussia (German: Ostpreussen, Polish: Prusy Wschodnie) is a province of Prussia. Former member of the North German Union, considered the breadbasket (German Kornkammer) of the German Empire. The core of Prussia with its capital the city of Königsberg (now Kaliningrad) now includes the Kaliningrad region (Russia). The peripheral territories, comprising more than two-thirds of the former German province liquidated in accordance with the decision of the Potsdam Conference, are part of Lithuania and Poland.
