Principality of Reuss of the younger line
The Principality of Reuss (German: Fürstentum Reuss jüngerer Linie) was a German state that existed from 1848 to 1918, governed by a minor branch of the Reuss dynasty. The counts of Hera, Schleitz, Lobenstein, Köstritz and Ebersdorf in 1806 received the title of princes. In 1848, the counties united, forming a single principality. After the First World War, the territories of the principalities of Reuss of the younger and older lines were merged into the Republic of Reuss, which lasted until 1919, after which it was included in the free state of Thuringia.
