Area 340.2 km ². Residents for 1901 are 43,132 people, including 89.5% Lutherans, 8% Reformed, 1.5% Catholics and 1% Jews. Settlements 92 (2 cities - Bückeburg and Stadthagen, 2 towns, 88 villages).
