REFERENCE: Schaumburg-Lippe (German Schaumburg-Lippe) - the principality that was part of the German Empire; located between 51 ° 53 '- 52 ° 30' north latitude and 8 ° 59 '- 9 ° 20' east longitude at the northern spur of the Weser Mountains in what is now Lower Saxony. Area 340.2 km ². Residents for 1901 are 43,132 people, including 89.5% Lutherans, 8% Reformed, 1.5% Catholics and 1% Jews.
