REFERENCE: Bermuda is a British overseas territory located on a group of coral islands in the northwest Atlantic Ocean, 900 km from North America. Bermuda includes 150 islands and reefs, of which about 20 are inhabited, and 10 of them are connected by bridges and overpasses and form the main island - Main Island. The islands are at the crossroads of shipping lanes. Area - 53.2 km ². The population is 64,237 people (2010). 58% are blacks (54%) and mulattoes (4%), descendants of African slaves, 31% come from Europe and North America, 4% are Asians and Indians. Administrative division: nine districts and two municipalities. The capital and port is Hamilton (on Bermuda Island).

The Bermuda dollar has been the official currency of Bermuda since February 1970. 1 Bermuda dollar equals 100 cents. The Bermuda dollar was introduced instead of the Bermuda pound (1 Bermuda pound = 2.40 Bermuda dollar). Wiki
