REFERENCE: Ethiopia (amh. and Tigrinya ኢትዮጵያ, Itoophiyaa Oromo), official name - Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (amkh. የኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራላዊ ዲሞክራሲያዊ ሪፐብሊክ, Oromo of Federaalawaa Dimokraatawaa Repabliikii Itoophiyaa), it is earlier also known as Abyssinia is the state in East Africa which does not have an outlet to the sea. The second (after Nigeria) most populous country in Africa, it borders Eritrea in the north, Djibouti in the northeast, Somalia and the state of Somaliland in the east, Kenya in the south, Sudan in the northwest and South Sudan in the southwest.
