REFERENCE: Kingdom of the Two Sicilies (Italian: Regno delle Due Sicilie, sic. Regnu dî Dui Sicili, neap. Regno d'e Ddoje Sicilie) - a state in southern Italy, which existed in the period 1816-1861 and was created during the unification of the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily. It was the largest in the territory of the states of the Apennine Peninsula. The capital of the country was Naples, the ruling dynasty - the Neapolitan Bourbons. As a result, Risorgimento became part of Italy.
