REFERENCE: Kenya (Swahili and English Kenya), the official name is the Republic of Kenya (Swahili Jamhuri ya Kenya, English Republic of Kenya) - a state in East Africa. It is a former colony of Great Britain, gained independence on December 12, 1963. Included in the Commonwealth of Nations. Today, the country is one of the most dynamically developing among the countries of East Africa.
