Austrian Empire
REFERENCE: The Austrian Empire (German: Kaisertum Österreich) is a German state entity with its capital in Vienna, uniting the hereditary possessions of the Habsburgs - the Czech Republic, Hungary with Slovakia, Croatia and Transylvania, Galicia (formerly the province of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth) and a significant part of Northern Italy (Lombardo-Venetian Kingdom), inhabited by peoples different origin and religion. Until the beginning of the 19th century, it was a number of regions of different area and population that did not have a common name, subordinate to the ruling German class in Vienna.
