Serbia and Montenegro, officially the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro (also unofficially called Lesser Yugoslavia), is a state in Europe, in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula, a free union of two republics - Serbia and Montenegro, which existed in 2003-2006. It was formed in 2003 as the successor to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia that existed in 1992-2003.
