REFERENCE: In 1803, St. Lucia was once again captured by the British, and in 1814, in accordance with the Paris Treaty, it moved to Great Britain, turning into its colony. From 1838 to 1958, St. Lucia was part of the British colony of the Windward Islands, from 1958 to 1962 - in the West Indies Federation. In 1967, St. Lucia received the status of a state associated with Great Britain and received the right of self-government in internal affairs.
