REFERENCE: Tibet (Tib. བོད ་, Wiley bod) from the collapse of the Qing Empire in 1912 until the establishment of the power of the People's Republic of China in Tibet in 1951 - a state in the Tibetan Highlands.

In  1946, a civil war broke out in China between the Kuomintang and the Chinese Communist Party, the advantage in which, over time, went over to the side of the CCP. After the proclamation of the People's Republic of China, clashes broke out between the Chinese and Tibetan armies, at the end of which the "Agreement between the Central People's Government of China and the local Tibetan government on measures for the peaceful liberation of Tibet" was signed, and on September 9, 1951, parts of the People's Liberation Army of China entered the capital of Tibet.
