REFERENCE: Czechoslovakia (Czech. Československo, Slovak. Česko-Slovensko) is a state in Central Europe that existed from 1918 to 1993. In 1938-1945, the German Protectorate of the Czech Republic and Moravia and Slovakia existed on the territory of Czechoslovakia, the Sudetenland was annexed to Germany, Southern Slovakia and Subcarpathian Rus - to Hungary, Teszyn Silesia - to Poland (since 1939 - to Germany). After World War II, it bordered on the GDR, Germany, the Polish People's Republic, Austria, the Hungarian People's Republic and the USSR.
