NOTE: Interest bearing note is a type of debt that was issued by the US Treasury during the Civil War and at the same time was legal tender. The issue of interest obligations was approved by an act of Congress of March 3, 1863. Liabilities were issued in denominations of $10, $20, $50, $100, $500 and $1000. Interest was charged on obligations - 5% per annum. There were also liabilities with interest rates of 6% and 7.30%.
