REFERENCE: People's Democratic Republic Yemen (Arab. جمهورية اليمن الديمقراطية الشعبية) - the state in the south of Arabian Peninsula existing from November 30, 1967 to May 22, 1990 (till November 30, 1970 was called the People's Republic of the Southern Yemen (the Arab. جمهورية اليمن الجنوبية الشعبية). Merged with the Yemen Arab Republic into the Republic of Yemen on May 22, 1990.
