Central African Monetary Union
REFERENCE: Communauté économique des États de l'Afrique centrale (CEEAC) is a Central African trade and economic union. The Economic Community of Central Africa was formed in 1994 on the basis of the Customs and Economic Union of Central Africa. The main goal of the creation of the Community is to promote regional integration by harmonizing economic and monetary policies. Member countries of the union: Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe, Chad. Some countries of the union use a common currency - CFA BEAC franc.
